Are you interested in learning skills that are not regularly taught in university courses? The course 'Historical Demography' at the Radboud University Nijmegen offers a theoretical introduction into the life course approach in historical demography as well as a thorough training in the skills required to handle dynamic life course data from large historical databases. The course will train students to construct their own data matrix for analysis and the methodologies connected to it, such as the reconstruction of household dynamics, migration, career, and reproductive trajectories, calculation of transition rates, modeling of household composition, and the coding of occupations.
Application deadline is 1 June 2016.
For more information, see the website of the Radboud Summer School and the flyer.
